Gregor's life Gregor is a poor 11 year old boy, living with his Mother,Grandma and his 2 little sisters Lizzie (7 years old) and Boots (2 years old). They live in an apartment. Gregors dad left and now Gregor has to take care of his family. Lizzie was five years old when her dad left and boots wasnt even born.
It was a hot summer morning and all the kids in town went to camp except for Gregor because he had to take care of his Grandma and Boots. His mom had gone to work and his 7 year old sister Lizzie had left for camp. Gregor is the man of the house ever since his father suddenly disappeared. Everyone in the neighberhood thought that he had just left and strangers sometimes asked why he left. Gregor came up with the story that his parents were divorced and his dad lived in california, people always believed it. So the rule was that he was not allowed to think things that would happend after his dad got back.
Gregor had fell down the grate recently and was taken by the giant cockroaches and was led to Queen Luxa and Vikus. They took him to the city of Regalia. Vikus wanted Boots and Gregor to take a bath so they did. After a while it was bed time and Gregor had gotten ready to escape. He took his sister Boots and tried to escape. But recently he had met 2 rats, Fangor and Shed. While trying to distract the rats from eating him and his sister, the underlanders had arrived and saved Gregor and Boots. After failing, he had realized that he cause a lot of trouble.
He was taken to a large diamond-shaped room. Vikus talked to him about his dad and that he might be still alive. Gregor felt full of joy after hearing the news from Vikus. He was later taken to a empty stone room and was told to read the, ''Prophecy Of Grey". It was a poem that foretold his quest to find his father and what to do. Later, king Gorger started attacking the palace and Gregor and the others fleed to save his father while the underlanders were in defence mode.
They first went to Queen Athena (the leader of the bats) to get permission if Ares and Aurora can go on the quest. They flew into a cave, Vikus and Solovet went to another room to discuss with the bats. After awhile, they came out and told Gregor and them that they granted them permission.
So, they moved on and flew to a dark tunnel where they had to also discuss with he king of the roaches. While Vikus and Solovet again went to discuss, Gregor's little sister played tag with Temp and Tick. Gregor later learned that Boot's was special because she knew who they were, even though all the roaches looked same. Temp and Tick were the ones who took Boot's onto their back to the stadium. Once again, Vikus and Solovet got permission that Temp and Tick were allowed to join them because of Boot's.
They went to a valley where the spinners stayed. But, once they were about to enter a cave, the rat's attacked! Everyone got onto their bat's and Vikus told Gregor to run into the cave for protection with his little sister, Temp and Tick. Gregor listened to him and started running towards the cave. While he was running, he got caught by a spinners web. He started screaming to the spinners, trying to get their attention. But, he was about to be bitten when he told the spider that was almost
